Sure the easiest way to get a water filter is to go out to a store and just buy one, but you do also have the option of learning how to make a water filter. The process involved here is really quite simple, and the first thing you will need to do is get the required materials together.
What You Need
To make a water filter you need a plastic film container, sharp blade, electric drill, two water bottle caps, and disposable coffee filters. Remember that this is just a very simple version of a water filter and you can make it much more detailed and complex if you like.
Getting Started
The first thing you need to do is use a sharp blade to cut a hole in the bottom of the film container. Then you want to drill about a dozen holes in one of the water bottle caps and place this cap into the film container. Make sure that the drilled holes show through the hole in the end of the container, and stuff the disposable coffee filters inside the film container as well.
You now have a very lightweight water filter and you can store this with the second cap covering the filtering material so that it can be kept as clean as possible. Just remember to replace the coffee filters on a regular basis in order to ensure that the filter stays clean and usable and make sure that you and your family are always receiving the cleanest, safest drinking water possible.
