The Care Of A Power Juicer

A power juicer is that electrical appliance that will process fruit that is put into the chamber and provide an invigorating and nutritious drink. The value of this drink is that it is pure, natural and not filled with artificial substances.

Once the power juicer has been purchased and continues to be put to good use it is important to care for not only this investment of your resources, but this investment into your healthy future. Therefore, it is important to properly care for the power juicer.

Precautions

As with any electrical appliance that utilizes sharp blades it is important to observe certain safety measures when operating and cleaning this appliance. First of all, a paramount concern is to keep this appliance away from children. In addition, it is important to note that children should not operate the power juicer.

Also, when introducing the fruit into the appliance it is important that the food is not pushed into the chamber with the fingers, hands or kitchen utensils. Included in the safe operation of the power juicer is a pusher that should be use to push the food into the juicing chamber.

One other extreme precaution to be aware of is that if at any time food becomes stuck it is important to turn the unit off. Under no circumstances should any food be dislodged while the appliance is still running.

Cleaning

One other important part of maintaining the integrity of the power juicer is to make sure that the juicer is cleaned. Again it is of extreme importance to note that whenever the juicer is being cleaned that the power to the juicer is secured. This means that the juicer should be unplugged before cleaning.

Before cleaning the juicer the appliance should be disassembled according to the instructions that are included with the unit. These parts should all be cleaned in warm dishwasher utilizing a mild household detergent. Or, the power juicer components are dishwasher safe. However it is important to note that the base of the power juicer should not be immersed in water or put into the dishwasher as this base contains the powerful motor.

Finally, as part of the care for the power juicer, it is important to clean the filter and the blades. These two items can be cleaned by rinsing them off with warm tap water and utilizing a soft brush to remove any pulp that is clinging to the filter.
